*** VFW-PAC endorses Congressman Tom Feeney
(Orlando, Florida) -The Washington, DC based Political Action Committee of the Veterans of Foreign Wars endorses Tom Feeney for reelection this November.
"Congressman Feeney has proven to be an incredibly strong advocate for veterans and their families," said Larry Rivers, the VFW-PAC Executive Director. "He understands the need to take care of those who protected and defended our great country. As a three term Member of Congress he has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us in the fight to improve the quality of life and the health care of veterans, military retirees and their families."
Dave Harris, State Commander of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, said: "The military community of central Florida is very fortunate to have Tom Feeney representing them in Washington, DC. Tom has been dedicated to veteran's issues since the beginning of his public service career in the Florida House of Representatives. His most notable achievement on behalf of veterans has been his tireless work to secure funding for the Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center which will provide not only world class medical care to the veterans of central Florida, but will serve as an economic engine by creating hundreds of high paying jobs in the area. When we needed his support for a "GI Bill for the 21st Century" he cosponsored the Post 9-11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act which will provide young veterans over $80,000 dollars for their college education.
